Largely self-taught, Fay has been drawing, painting, photographing, dancing and creating since her earliest years in Trois-Rivières, Québec. She took her first drawing class at the age of 20 at the Ottawa School of Art and not long after, moved to Victoria.

Fay has been painting with acrylic for the past 15 years, inspired by the transitional period of rediscovering her voice, represented in the works shown in this exhibition. Lately, her art is inspired by the people in her life and the beauty of nature around her home.

Fay is grateful for the meditative and disciplinary gift of art that allows her to express ideas, memories, and emotions in a deeper way than she can with words.
